Recent message activity is often the clearest sign that a public number is still worth trying.

Look for continued movement, not only history

An inbox with old history but no recent updates may not be a strong choice. Ongoing movement matters more.

Switching speed is part of the strategy

  • Do not spend too long on one quiet inbox.
  • Keep several backup numbers in the same country.
  • Keep at least two fallback regions ready.
